## What it is

Standard casino-style blackjack, single-player vs the house. You buy in
with a starting bankroll, place a bet each hand, and play until you
cash out (your bet bank becomes your leaderboard score) or bust. No
real money — chips are virtual and reset each run.

## Rules

- **Shoe**: 6 standard 52-card decks. Re-shuffles when the cut card is
  reached.
- **Bets**: each hand starts with a bet between the table min and max.
  Insurance is offered when the dealer shows an ace.
- **Player actions**:
  - **Hit** — take another card.
  - **Stand** — keep your total.
  - **Double Down** — double your bet, take exactly one more card, then
    stand. Allowed on any first-two-card hand.
  - **Split** — when your first two cards are equal rank, split into two
    hands and place a matching bet on the second. Each hand plays
    independently. Re-splits allowed up to two extra hands.
  - **Surrender** — forfeit half your bet on the first action. (Late
    surrender; not offered after dealer checks for blackjack.)
- **Dealer rule**: hits soft 17 (H17), stands on hard 17 and any 18+.
- **Blackjack**: a natural (A + 10-value) on the player's first two
  cards pays 3:2. Dealer blackjack pushes a player blackjack.

## Scoring

Run score = your bankroll at cash-out, capped at the table max. Tie-
broken by `duration_ms` ascending. Cashing out on a hot streak is the
play; hitting `$0` ends the run as a bust.

## End conditions

- `cashout` — you chose to stop between hands.
- `busted` — bankroll hit zero.
- `cap_hit` — bankroll reached the table cap.
- `max_hands` — hand cap reached without cash-out.

## Determinism + anti-cheat

- Mulberry32 PRNG, identical JS / PHP, drives the shoe shuffle.
- Replay validator: the server replays every action against the seed,
  re-computes the dealer hits, and rejects any run whose final bankroll
  doesn't match the simulator.
- All actions (hit/stand/double/split/surrender + insurance choice)
  recorded with their hand index so re-splits replay correctly.
- Out-of-bounds bets and impossibly-fast hand cadence are sanity-capped
  before replay even runs.

## Controls

- **Mouse / touch**: click action buttons (Hit / Stand / Double / Split
  / Surrender / Cash Out / Bet+).
- **Keyboard**: H = hit, S = stand, D = double, P = split, R = surrender,
  C = cash out. Enter = next hand.

## Privacy / signup

- No account required. Guests get an auto-generated username on first
  visit; rename anytime.
- No real money, no payment processor, no purchases of any kind.
- No tracking pixels, no analytics SDK, no third-party scripts.
